Our tank restoration and maintenance shop has started the M24 Chaffee "fluff up" in anticipation of our WWII Tank Demonstration weekend on May 25&26. Turret was removed and all compartments and parts will be restored and repainted. There is nothing quite like a new tank smell and feel! Experience it for yourself in May!The M24 Chaffee tank, introduced during World War II, was a light tank that played a significant role in the Allied forces' armored operations. It boasted remarkable speed and agility, making it well-suited for reconnaissance missions and infantry support. Weighing around 18 tons, it was armed with a 75 mm main gun and two .30 caliber Browning machine guns. Its relatively thin armor was compensated by its speed, allowing it to outmaneuver heavier enemy tanks. The M24 Chaffee continued to serve various armies even after the war, seeing action in conflicts such as the Korean War. Its versatility and effectiveness solidified its place in military history as a pivotal light tank design. ... See MoreSee Less

The Rifle – Book Signing and Talk by Andrew Biggio

August 1, 2021 @ 3:00 pm, ending 6:00 pm

$10 – $20

While helping his own generation of veterans for the last decade, Andrew saw the urgency to start honoring WWII veterans as they were vanishing at an alarming rate. He saw  the need to link their methods of living a successful life after combat and pass it on to today’s veterans. This sparked a three year journey.  Over two hundred veterans later, Andrew  was  fortunate to publish a written experience of the journey called “The Rifle.”

WHY A RIFLE?

At the average age of ninety-four, there was one instrument that brought these men and women back to WWII, the M1 Garand rifle. Being the standard issued  rifle of that time, each veteran had their own memorable experience with the weapon. Just by grasping the rifle, it acts as time machine bringing them back some seventy-five years. The most magnificent stories would be shared through this rifle.

We are expecting over 40 WWII veterans to attend! Many of these gentlemen were featured in this book. This is a very rare chance to see so many veterans all in one setting. In addition, there will be 14 French Legion of Honor medals issued during the event.
